Marvel's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Gets a Four-Issue Comic to Bridge Into Season 2

Marvel is bringing back Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in comic form, launching a four-issue miniseries from writer Christos Gage and artist Eric Gapstur that ties directly into Marvel Animation's Disney+ series. Issue #1 ships December 9, 2026, landing about a month ahead of the animated show's Season 2 premiere in January 2027.

The story catches up with Peter Parker as he starts pulling away from his friends while trying to keep the world safe, even as trouble brews closer to home: Norman Osborn has stepped back from costumed business, but his son Harry isn't so sure that's really the case, and something is clearly off at Oscorp. The miniseries is set to introduce a mix of classic Spider-Man villains reimagined for this animated continuity alongside new adversaries built for the show's world.

Gage has said he worked closely with series showrunner Jeff Trammell to keep the comic in step with the show's continuity, and the covers are being split across several artists, including Leonardo Romero, Luciano Vecchio, and David Baldeón. It's a rare case of a Marvel Animation series getting its own dedicated print tie-in, and a sign of how much weight Marvel is putting behind the show's second season.
