Image Comics Stacks December With Five New #1s, From Horror-Comedy to a Mercy Sequel

Image Comics' December 2026 solicitations are out, and the publisher is closing the year with five new #1 launches spanning horror-comedy, slasher throwbacks, and legacy sequels - plus a milestone issue for one of its longest-running franchises. It's a busy send-off to 2026 for a publisher that's leaned hard into creator-owned variety all year.

Vampire on Aisle 6, a three-issue horror-comedy from Zoe Thorogood and Joe Whiteford, kicks off the slate with a premise that does exactly what the title promises. The Princess Murders, from Tony Fleecs and Tim Seeley, digs into classic slasher territory with a fairy-tale twist. And The Forgotten Five, from the team of Alex Segura, Sara Century, and Pat Kennedy, rounds out the new-series push with its own take on ensemble adventure.

The month's biggest swing is Merciless, Mirka Andolfo and Lidia Bolognini's sequel to their earlier series Mercy, picking up the story fifteen years later. December also brings The Walking Dead Deluxe #150, a landmark number for Robert Kirkman's flagship franchise, a G.I. Joe/Tomb Raider crossover, and the final issues of both Die: Loaded and The Karmen Blade - giving Image's December output the feel of several chapters closing just as new ones open.
