DC's December 2026 Solicits Put Bruce Wayne and Poison Ivy on the Chopping Block

DC Comics has unveiled its full slate of December 2026 solicitations, and the throughline across the lineup is identity under pressure. Detective Comics #1116 puts Bruce Wayne's civilian life on the chopping block with an assassination plot aimed squarely at his identity as Bruce Wayne, while Clark Kent finds himself behind bars facing murder charges in the same issue's Superman back-up. Elsewhere, the "de-powering" theme runs deep: Wally West loses his speed in The Flash #40, Kara is stripped of her abilities in Supergirl #20, and the Green Lantern Central Power Battery goes dark in Green Lantern #42.

The marquee event of the month is Poison Ivy #50, a 48-page landmark issue that closes out G. Willow Wilson's exploration of Pamela Isley by leaving her powerless and confined to Arkham Towers - forcing the series to finally answer who Pamela Isley is without the abilities that define her. It's also the month Tom King and Daniel Sampere's Wonder Woman run comes to an end with issue #40, and Scott Snyder wraps his six-issue Absolute Catwoman with issue #6. On the nostalgia side, Garth Ennis and John McCrea reunite for the Hitman: It Was the Nineties holiday special, and Skottie Young and Jim Mahfood put a gonzo spin on "A Christmas Carol" in Lobo #10.

One notable absence from the December solicits: Absolute Batman is nowhere on the schedule, even as the rest of the Absolute line - Wonder Woman, Superman, Catwoman, and Flash - keeps rolling. As usual, the month is stacked with variant options, including foil and card-stock covers from artists like David Aja and Chris Samnee running $4.99-$8.99.
